A few weeks ago I submitted a few images for an art mag in Switzerland and one of the illustrations seems to be very popular among the editors and I’ve been asked if I have more of the same kind. Unfortunately I do not as the image in question is a lithography… and my first and only at that. I agreed to produce some more images of a similar kind and as I started working I had to realize that some of the effects in the aforementioned print are not quite reproducable. At least when trying to recreate these without actually working with the same material. So as a consequence I am going to make some illustrations that will hopefully have a similar feeling but conveyed through a different use of my resources.

Following are a few images depicting experiments with ink and other media such as grease and turpentine. I was quite surprised at some of the effects that I was able to produce.

Last but not least here is a little hint that from now on you will be able to contact me via the contact form on this very website. So, if you have any questions, suggestions, comments or critique or just to want to chat… Do not hesitate to write a few lines. I am looking forward to your input.

At the end I would like to point out an excellent rant of Charley Parker of “Lines And Colors” on the topic of artists and their (mis)understanding of webdesign. LINK
